School Hours

Flutterby Child Care Centre:

Normal Days: Flutterby classes open daily either from 8:30am till 12:30pm (basic hours) or from 7:30am till 1:15pm (extended hours), in accordance with the registration made.   


Pre-Junior, Junior and Senior School:

Normal Days: School starts at 8:00am sharp with the School Assembly.  The School Day is divided in seven (7) 40-to-45-minutes lessons with two (2) breaks of 20 minutes each.  School finishes at 1:40pm.

Shorter Days: as from June till the end of the scholastic year, school days change to shorter mornings, thus finishing at 11:15am.


Pick up of Student....
Unless school transport is utilised, the School does not allow students to go home with anyone other than their parents or guardians, unless advance verbal notice or written authorisation is given by the parents or guardians.

Late Arriving & Early Leaving....
In the case of late arriving and early leaving from the Pre-Junior, Junior or Senior School, parents must notify in writing the School Administration, stating clearly the reason why and allowing for enough notice time, and thus obtaining permission.

School Absence due to Travelling....
Parents of students in the Pre-Junior, Junior and Senior School who may need to travel abroad together with their children during School Days, must seek permission from the School Administration before making any arrangements.  Requests must be made in writing and eough notice time given.  This is mandatory as schooling from the ages of 5 to 16 is compulsory in Malta.

On Punctuality....

Punctuality is vital as it assists the development in our students of such qualities as responsibility, self-discipline, good manners and respect for the rights of others.  In order for the School to fulfil its responsibility for the safety and welfare of students, and for the classroom operations to run smootly, the School insists on punctuality.
