A Peculiar Passion!

Kai is a very creative and imaginative child. I strongly believe that he has great potential, ability and talent which he can further develop by the support of his parents and those around him. Kai has an obsession to play with and to create dinosaurs. Every morning when he arrives at school at 7:15am he asks me: “Ms. Maria can I take the play dough please?” and with a big smile on his innocent face he goes in his place and starts creating extraordinary dinosaurs, dinosaurs of different types. Kai surprises me every time he shows me his final product because he makes his creation very detailed and proportioned.

Through my daily observations I continued to realize that Kai, being as young as four years of age, has an outstanding talent and I wanted to make his abilities expand. On parents’ day I talked to his parents about this and they said: “That’s how he is at home. Always playing with and drawing dinosaurs. He has numerous dinosaurs and for Christmas we want to buy him a full set of dinosaurs.” So, I recommended to his parents to take him to clay workshops, such as Alka Ceramics, where he could create his own sculpture with clay. A few days later his mother told me that Kai had extremely enjoyed his first visit to Alka Ceramics. He still goes once every week because creating and inventing is his passion. For Christmas he got me a wonderful dinosaur and he made a bigger one for himself too. It is the most magnificent piece of art I have ever seen: a T-Rex.
