School Facilities:

St. Catherine's High School, situated in Pembroke, is well served by excellent facilities to complement its curricular and extra curricular programmes.  Improvements and refurbishments are constantly being carried out so that the school is always meeting the ever increasing needs of its population and the ever evolving developments in its educational programme.

The layout of the premises is designed in a way so that the school enjoys a beautiful seaview. Internally the school is easy to navigate, with short distances between facilities. St. Catherine's features modern classrooms that are spacious, 25 feet by 25 feet, airy and well equipped.  Classrooms in the Pre-Junior and Junior School are complete with computers and specialised teaching and learning areas.

The Facilities include: 

• an equipped gym with parquet flooring;
• a music hall;
• an assembly hall seating 200 people;
• a computer lab with 20 computers;
• a fully equipped science lab;
• a home economics room with 4 cookers, sinks and a computer;
• an art room complete with a computer;
• a library; and,
• a canteen serving warm and cold snacks.

The Indoor Recreational Areas include:

• two play zones for the Early School classes; and, 
• areas for table tennis and board games for the Juniors and Seniors.

The Outdoor Recreational Areas include to date:

• a play zone for the Pre-Juniors and the Junior 1 students;
• a 7-a-side artificial turf ground for football practice and ball play for the Juniors and Senior classes;
• a smaller artificial turf pitch for use of general break and PE lessons for the Junior classes;
• a tarmacked area for recreational purposes; and, 
• a multi-purpose ground for basketball, volleyball and other ball games for the higher Junior and Senior classes.
