STABILO GREEN DRAWING COMPETITION (2011) 

We are pleased to announce that Ryan Fenech (Junior 6B) has participated in the Stabilo Green Drawing Competition and placed as the winner of our School.

Congratulations Ryan!  

The prize-giving event will be held on Saturday 5th February at The COastline Hotel.  During the event Trevor Zahra will give the prizes to the winners.

National Library Campaign (2010)

On Tuesday 30th March, during the presentation which marked the beginning of a National Library Campaign to encourage more people to visit libraries and to read books, Minister Dolores Cristina presented a certificate and a book to a number of persons from each locality.
 
Kristina Cardona (Junior 2B) was chosen by the Gzira Library to receive this certificate and she was the youngest amongst those presented with this certificate.  Kristina was appraised for the following:

·         for attending regularly the public library (every Saturday morning) for the past 2 years;

·         for always showing an avid interest in books;

·         for showing significant improvement in her reading; and,

·         for helping the librarian during busy periods by reading books to other children, who sometimes were even older than herself. 

Mrs. Odette Cardona, Kristina's mum, commented that as much as this is Kristina’s achievement, such was only possible because of St. Catherine’s and its Teachers who teach Kristina, in particular Mrs Rosienne.
